MADIP is an Cuban software for the morphometrical characterization of macro and micro lesions in biomedical images. In general, it may be used in any branch of science and technology, where not only quantitative techniques of high precision are required, but it is also necessary to do a big number of measurements with high accuracy and rapidly. This is formed by a group of quantitative procedures that facilitates the user any mensuration of the structures that one likes to research.
The MADIP system is registered in the State Center of Medical Equipment and it has not only been used in the medicine, but also in areas like the industry, the biotechnology (CIGB), the center of isotopes (Centis), in studies of new medications (CIDEM), in morphometric of cerebral hemorrhages (Moron Hospital), in cancer study in soft tissue, in the study of the atherosclerosis, in the organs of the defense, among others.
